Trout were stocked in Schuylkill County earlier this week in preparation for opening day at 8 a.m. Saturday. The season opens in Schuylkill, Northampton and Lehigh counties, as well as Lizard and Mahoning creeksin Carbon County. Theseason opens in the rest of the counties April 12. Most of the stocked trout are 18 months old, but the stocking truck also held some huge, trophy-sized trout which are at least 3 years old.
