Theft, mischief incidents probed

State police at Lehighton are investigating a theft and act of criminal mischief incident.

The theft incident was reported by John Egler, 59, of 149 Hemlock Drive, in the Hemlock Lakes development in Polk Township, Monroe County. He reported his unlocked vehicle was entered and a wallet was removed. The incident occurred sometime between Friday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m.

The mischief incident was reported by Jesse Strausser, of Lehighton. He said someone damaged the driver's side door of his Chevrolet S10 pickup truck while parked on a lot at the Weissport Canal. The incident occurred sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8.
