Zombie face painters are needed Sunday in Tamaqua

Members of the Tamaqua Volunteers group are looking for volunteers to help paint zombies Sunday prior to their Walking Scared for Charity event.

Volunteers are asked to be at the Tamaqua YMCA before noon Sunday. No experience is needed. Walkers, who are encouraged to wear a scary costume or old torn clothing, are asked to be there between noon and 12:45 p.m. The event, which benefits households of recent fires, will include three walks; Brockton at 1:15 p.m., Coaldale at 2:30 p.m., and Tamaqua at 4 p.m. For more information about the event, visit it on Facebook or call (570) 668-1234.
