Nesquehoning police are investigating an attempted break-in at a residence.

On Friday, June 21, about 10:28 a.m. Police Chief Sean Smith was dispatched to the home of Helen and Arthur Applegate, 201 W. Railroad St., to a report of a burglary. On scene Mrs. Applegate told Smith that about 10:20 a.m. observed that the screen was cut in several areas of a window and the screen was bent outward.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at (570) 669-9111.
