Carbon County commissioners made a number of personnel moves at a public meeting Thursday:

Hires:Tyler A. Billig, Lehighton and Nicholas D. O'Donnell, Summit Hill, as summer laborers, buildings and grounds: effective June 3;Charles H. Leinthall, Summit Hill, as a summer supervisor, liquid fuels summer program, effective May 28;Katie Mongi, Summit Hill; Alexandrea Mosteller and Chasity Mosteller, both of Jim Thorpe, as lifeguards, effective May 25;Mark R. Ruch, Lehighton, as a part-time dispatcher/trainee, communications center, effective May 28;Kacie N. Smalley, Lehighton, as a liquid fuels coordinator, liquid fuels summer program, effective May 28;James Sverchek, Lehighton, as a summer clerk, archives, effective May 28;Mary Ann Van Lieu, Lansford, as a part-time cook, corrections, effective May 27.Hired as summer laborers in the liquid fuels summer program were: Steven P. Gallagher, Nathanial J. Kresge, and Gabriel A. Youngkin, all of Lehighton; Paul J. Gallagher-Saba, Joseph M. Kloap, Charles J. Leinthall, Cody L. Mann, Benjamin R. Moore, Kodie R. Pituch, and Michael Slater C. Trine, all of Jim Thorpe; Joshua J. Jacobs, Kory J. Lopata, and Zachary J. Stromelo, all of Nesquehoning; Nicholas S. McArdle and Christopher J. Weber, both of Summit Hill; and Philip R. Schron of Albrightsville.Commissioners also approved changes of job status for Clair C. Breiner, Lehighton, and Bernard J. Newhard, Jim Thorpe, both from temporary parking attendant, parking fund, to summer supervisor, liquid fuels summer program and temporary parking attendant, parking fund, effective May 28.Also, commissioners approved Brianna Foster, Palmerton, as a summer intern in the Adult Probation office from May 28 through July 1. Brianna is a Criminal Justice major at Kutztown University.Commissioners also approved seminar/training requests for: Colleen Klein, Commissioners Office, for County Users dot Grant Training, Allentown; Jim Martino and Jennifer Hunsicker, both of the Office of planning and Development, for CBDG Sub-Grantee Training, Wilkes-Barre, at a cost of mileage and meals; and Lewis Gullone, of the Tax Assessment Office, Northeast Chapter Assessor Association of Pennsylvania Chapter Meeting, Orwigsburg, at a conference cost of $25.
