State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary at a Monroe County residence.

Troopers said the home of Howard Ferguson, 40, of 272 Rainbow Terrace, Effort, Polk Township, was reported entered on Dec. 28. Entry was gained by forcing open a basement door. Removed from the outside was an electric meter.Once inside the criminals removed multiple items. They then exited the home and made forced entry to a shed located to the right of the home. They removed a Kayak brand all terrain vehicle from the shed.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
