Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 7:42 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, along SR209, in the area of Weir Lake Road, in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Lehighton said Bernardin Sollitto, 59, of Kresgeville, was stopped for an equipment violation. He was found to be under the infuence and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

Troopers said the DUI charge is pending blood test results.
