A Monroe County man is facing multiple charges after he apparently attempted to collect a debt.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on April 30 about 2:58 p.m. they were dispatched to 429 Glen Ridge Road, in Tobyhanna, for a report of a burglary and assault.

On scene police found Michael Baker, of that address, injured from being struck by a baseball bat. The assault occurred during an altercation that took place with Baker and Erik C. Funk, 22, of Cresco.

Police said Funk broke into Baker's home to collect a debt from Baker. After the assault Fink fled the scene but turned himself in later in the evening.

Funk is facing charges of burglary, criminal attempt-burglary, aggravated and simple assault, criminal trespass, terroristic threats, and possessing an instrument of crime. He was arraigned with bail set at $15,000 straight cash.

Police did not indicate if Funk posted the bail.
