A criminal mischief incident that was reported at 2 a.m. Dec. 20 in Polk Township is under investigation by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

The victim is Michael S. Sosko, 35, of 8962 W. Robin Hood Drive in the township.He told police someone burned a garbage can near the rear door of his residence.
