Holiday Cantata held in memory of Young family

Members and friends of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Tamaqua held this year's annual Holiday Cantata Sunday morning in honor and memory of the late Nicholas "Nick" and Anna Mae Young of Hometown. The well-known Hometown couple succumbed to carbon monoxide in late August, after police say their car was accidentally left running inside their garage, permeating the home with exhaust fumes. The event consisted of both musical and instrumental songs and choruses. Performing were Emily Young, Diane Johnson, Joan Hess, Nancy Nunemacher, Marion Miller, Brenda Bachert, Kathy Gill, Linda Musseman, Jim Moll, Bob Moll, Jacquie Shafer, Christina Linder, Sandy Waidell, Holly Lutz, Rachel Brimmer, Paul Randig, Pastor Kevin, Michael Brimmer, Vaal Kester, Liz Seltzer, Ben Shafer, Lee Shafer, George Waidell, Albie Coccio and others. The Cantata was presented in honor of the Young family by Judy and Dan Slegal.
