"What was your favorite summer job as a teenager?'

Barbara Searfoss, 76, Jim Thorpe: "I used to work making french fries. There was a man by the name of Pat Gallagher who had bingo every Tuesday and Saturday nights at Memorial Park. They had some stands outside as well as inside. I'd go up in the afternoon and peel a 50-pound bag of potatoes, then I'd put them through the french fry machine. Then I'd come back at night and fry them and sell them. I also made sundaes in the ice cream section. It was fun."
