Area residents will find it hard to forget the violent rain storm that hit our area on Saturday, dropping up to 10 inches of rain in less than an hour in some communities. Pictured at the intersection of State Road and Hamilton Street in Ryan Township is a white Subaru Legacy, owned by a Barnesville woman, up to its roof with flood waters. Police said the woman driver was able to escape as her car slid into the water. State Road was closed due to fast flooding. In addition to township police, firefighters from Quakake and Delano also responded.
