From Horack's Printing Service, Weissport, omes the first issue of The Comet, a 12-page tabloid, 6-by-9 inche pages. It deals with Lehighton municipal affairs. Warren Luckenbill, inplacable foe of Lehighton Water Authority, makes the front page as to why he would and wouldn't be a member of the Water Authority. Primarily, he said he is against the payment of $740,000 for a water system that is not worth half that much. Councilman George Geisel questions the election of the members of the Water Authority on the grounds that it is illegal.
