A Northumberland County driver was cited at a checkpoint operation in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said John E. Long, 35, of Mount Carmel, entered the checkpoint about 10:20 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, which was set up along SR4029 in the village of Big Mine Run in Butler Township.A routine check revealed that Long was wanted by the Union County Sheriff's Department and that his operator's license was suspended.Long was taken into custody and lodged in the county prison in Pottsville waiting to be picked up by Union County authorities. Troopers charged him with the license violation.
