Several Tamaqua residents were lucky enough one spring day to get their photo taken with Penn State football coach Joe Paterno. The young people were walking to the Blue and White inter-squad game at Beaver Stadium when Paterno pulled up in front of his house. They asked for a photo and despite the fact that it was a busy day for the coach, he posed with the group. The Tamaqua teens are Corey McCann (furst person back row), his brother Eric McCann (just over Paterno's shoulder) and Michael Taylor (second to the left of the coach).
