Copper wire stolen from Monroe site

The theft of several pieces of copper wire from a site in Jackson Township, Monroe County, is under investigation by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

The incident happened between 8 p.m. Jan. 2 and 11 a.m. Jan. 16 at the PP&L Substation located along Alan Court in the township.Police said someone entered the substation property by cutting a piece of chainlink fence that surrounds it and proceeded to steal the wire, which was painted blue, leaving the scene by unknown means.
