Five defendants have been named in a Carbon County Court of Common Pleas civil lawsuit that relates to a motor vehicle accident that happened on Dec. 28, 2009, and claimed the life of a Coaldale woman.

George Van Huynh, 33 E. High St., Coaldale, individually and in his capacity as administrator of the Estate of Linda Faye Huynh, filed the action against Regional EMS & Critical Care, Inc., 700 N. First St., Lehighton; Eugene M. Crostley, 392 Long Run Road, Lehighton; The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation, Harrisburg, Pa.; Mahoning Township; and Telco, inc.Linda Huynh, 62, died Dec. 28, 2009, in a vehicle accident at the Normal Square intersection in the township. She was George Huynh's wife.The lawsuit, seeking money damages outside the limits of arbitration, requests a jury trial be held to determine the damages. It was started by a writ of summons by Attorney Edwin L. Stock, Reading. A writ of summons is a manner of starting a legal action without specifying the claims of the suit.Linda Huynh died when a 2005 Dodge minivan she was driving north on Mill Road was involved in what Mahoning Township Police Chief Kenneth Barnes described as a "T-bone" collision in the westbound lane of Route 443. The other vehicle was an ambulance belonging to Regional EMS and Critical Care and driven by Crostley. The ambulance was not on an emergency call at the time of the crash, Barnes had said at the time.
