A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of hit and run following an incident that occurred about 10:01 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, along SR209 at Gilbert Road in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Travis P. Johnson, 22, of Kunkletown, was operating a 1995 Ford Mustang that struck a 2004 Dodge Durango of Tyrone Hernandez, 41, of Kunkletown.Troopers said Johnson placed his vehicle in reverse and backed into Hernandez's vehicle, who was behind him. After impact Johnson fled the scene.
