Lehigh driver facing DUI count

Tamaqua police have filed charges against David Glaser, 41, of 7495 Camp Meeting Rd., New Tripoli, after receiving a report concerning a reckless driver on Nov. 25. The caller indicated the suspect vehicle was headed north on SR309 at 7:45 p.m.

Officers stopped the gold Chevrolet sedan after the operator entered the right turn lane at Center and Cedar streets, then proceeded to turn in front of the squad car and continue northbound. The vehicle was stopped on Mauch Chunk Street and the driver was identified as Glaser, who was given and failed field sobriety tests.He was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and traffic related offenses.
