A Schuylkill County driver was cited following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 4:54 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, along SR209 in Blythe Township.

State police at Frackville said Alice A. Correa, 49, of New Philadelphia, was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero westbound just outside the village of Cumbola when she attempted to avoid a tree branch and swerved. The car struck a utility pole along the berm. The pole was severed in half and the Alero became disabled off the right berm.Correa sustained a minor injury in the crash and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment. The car was towed from the scene.Troopers cited Correa for driving on roadways laned for traffic. The investigation into the crash is continuing, troopers added.
