Didn't like pavement

A Monroe County man is facing charges after he dug up a pavement of his neighbor's because he apparently didn't like it.

State police at Lehighton said Michael Unmann, of Stroudsburg, did not like the pavement Mary Lois Dobson, of Church View Rd., Jackson Township, installed. He used a pick axe to pry the pavement from the ground resulting in damage to the roadway.Unmann then piled the pieces of the pavement at the beginning of Dobson's driveway. Troopers said the paving had been approved by the township road master and permission was granted to pave part of the right-of-way.At this time Unmann was issued a summary citation for criminal mischief. Troopers noted that the charge could rise to a misdemeanor depending on the estimated total damages involved.
