Pearl Downs-Sheckler is declaring her candidacy for Jim Thorpe School director. She and her husband, Jason, are life long residents of Jim Thorpe.

Sheckler is a 1984 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area School District. They have two children, Travis and Jill Andrews, both students at East Stroudsburg University.Sheckler is the daughter of James and Barbara Downs of Jim Thorpe. She is strongly committed to supporting her school district as well as her community. She is currently a branch manager for Mauch Chunk Trust Company for the past 15 years. She holds an associate degree in hospitality management from LCCC. She is also a graduate of the Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking, Bucknell University and the Central Atlantic School of Banking, Dickinson College.
