Lehighton Boy Scouts hold Red and White Court of Honor

Lehighton Boy Scout Troop 82 recently held its red and white Court of Honor. Boy Scout Scoutmaster Scot Wingert began the evening by having Friends of Scouting and a summer camp presentation by Dennis Nagy of Minsi Trails Council.

Wingert thanked Trinity for sponsoring the troop and acknowledged the six Eagle Scouts of 2010 and 2011 for their hard work and dedication to themselves and to the troop. The Eagle Scouts preceded to talk about their projects.After the Rank advancement ceremonies, the scouts then thanked their parents by presenting them with red and white roses, as well as serving them dinner and demonstrating their favorite skits and songs.All leaders, committee members and helpful parents and relatives were given awards for helping carry the troop. A standing ovation was given to Scot and Judy Wingert for all their dedication and hard work for making the troop what it is today.Barbara Belone, president of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, also thanked the Boy Scouts for being a part of their organization and was impressed by what the troop has accomplished in the past years.
