Dr. Dennis J. Bonner, Summit Hill physician, was honored as the 11th Shamrock Award winner. The presentation was made by Thomas J. McCall of Summit Hill, president of the Irish American Association. The banquet was held in the Lansford Elks. Dr. Bonner spoke of notable accomplishments made in the field of medicine by Irishmen, notably Blessed John Neuman, founder of the University of Dublin. "He represented the beginning of a great era of medicine in Ireland," Dr. Bonner told the more han 300 people in attendance.
