Tamaqua police are investigating an act of criminal mischief reported to the department on Tuesday.

At 5:23 p.m., John Hadesty, of 155 W. Moser Ave., Coaldale, reported that someone scattered nails all around his property at 901 E. Broad St. The property formerly housed the Stone Garden Center.Hadesty is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the responsible party.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at (570) 668-6100 or 668-5000.
