James J. Bevan, Carbon County superintendent of schools, was the principal speaker at the unveiling of a soldier's statue in Summit Hill, yesterday. It was won by the Summit Hill High School in a guessing contest conducted by Wenz and Co. marble dealers, Allentown. The statue represents a "Dough Boy." The base is of granite, the statue of marble, and is life size. Bevan delivered an inspiring address on patriotism.
