A Lehighton woman has started a civil suit against the entire Fegley Corporation, of Tamaqua, for alleged injuries suffered at a gas station owned by Fegley's.

Lauren K. Bowman, 230 North Third Street, Lehighton, and her granddaughter, Judy Bowman, same address, started a civil action in the Schuylkill County Court against Fegley's Mini-Mart Inc., 30-36 Center Street, Tamaqua; Fegley's Oil Company, Inc. and D and M. Real Estate, both of 552 West Penn Pike, Tamaqua.The suit states the Fegley Corporation owns a business property at 30-36 Center Street in Tamaqua which is open to customers as a gas station.The complaint states that on May 15, 2008, Lauren K. Bowman was a customer driving her car onto the premises to purchase gasoline. As she stepped out of the driver's side of her car and reached back into her car, she allegedly slipped on oily liquid on the concrete ground and nearly fell.The suit further alleges her right foot slid through the oily liquid causing her foot to be caught in traction when it got to the end of the oil puddle and caused her ankle and foot to turn, causing serious injuries.She alleges a dangerous condition was allowed to exist on the concrete and the company was negligent in failing to keep the concrete surface in a safe condition. The suit seeks damages in excess of $50,000.
