Adult day care

The Tamaqua Area Adult Day Care is sponsoring its 6th Annual 5K Run/Walk this Saturday. Pre-registration may be made by calling (570) 668-6556 but registrations will be accepted the day of the event.Activities planned for the month of May include: May 10, hoagie day; May 11, worship service; May 12, craft day and visit from the foot doctor; May 17, sing a long with Audrey Christ; May 19, cook out; May 20, monthly birthday party; May 27, visit from St. Jerome's kindergarten class.Daily activities include exercise, reality orientation, remotivational and reminiscent therapy, as well as breakfast, lunch and a snack.Anyone interested in obtaining more information about the center and its services may call (570) 668-6577.TAHS Science FairTamaqua Area High School's annual Science Fair will be held May 24, from 6-8 p.m., in the high school gymnasium. This year's theme is Right Brain/Left Brain Night.In addition to science experiments, the evening will feature student art projects.The event is free and open to the public.
