The National Financial Capability Challenge recentlymade its first appearance at Panther Valley High School.

Eight students made the top 20 percent,and three were recognized for placing in the top one percent.In conjunction with the U.S. Department of treasury, Financial Class teacher Sue Solt, introduced this test to her students for the very first time.She was very pleased to have them do so well out of 76,00 students taking the test.Solt's class focused on personal finance, credit, checking accounts, savings accounts, mortgage, budget and financial knowledge. All subjects they will need in everyday life.In Washington, D.C., the top one percent ofBrett Kerschner, Jeremy O'Gorman, and Jordan Duke toured the D.C. area, were treated to a luncheon and received awards as the top three from Panther Valley High School.
