Saved son's life

Dear Editor:

We want to thank the American Hose Company #1, the Tamaqua Rescue Squad, Hometown Fire Company, Tamaqua Police Department, Rush Township Police Department, Medical Evacuation Team, the Fire Police and, especially, whoever made the 911 call the morning of July 3. The rapid response of those involved saved our son's life.Because of his injurieswhich included a broken neck, broken arm, separated shoulder, lacerated liver, torn kidney gland, broken ribs, collapsed lung, various head injuries and internal hemorraghingour son was flown to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem and put on a ventilator, as he was unable to breathe on his own.The surgical team at St. Luke's was able to stabilize his condition and operate a second time on Sunday morning. There is little we can say that would describe the gratitude in our hearts that we still have our son today, thanks to all of these kind people.God bless each and every one of you.Vince and JoAnn Suzadail and the entire Suzadail familySummit Hill
