The southbound lanes of the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike were closed Tuesday afternoon after a minivan and a tractor trailer collided in Carbon County. The rig then jack-knifed across the two lanes, taking out a portion of the barrier. Traffic was backed up for miles. State police at Pocono are investigating the incident.
