A Tamaqua woman had a hearing on bail reduction and a Lehighton man a bench \warrant hearing in Schuylkill County court this week.

Erica Nicole Sillers, 23, Tamaqua, was granted modification of bail by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine after receiving an fine report from her employer, Burger King in Tamaqua.Harold Lux, manager, reported her work attendance has been very good and she has done everything asked of her. Her work schedule is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and two days a week from 5:30 a.m. TO 2 p.m.Stine granted her motion with specification she reside at 84 Hunter Street, Apt. 7, and is not to relocate without prior court approval and her curfew shall remain in effect except for employment purposes.Sillers faces charges of theft of personal property belonging to Sharon Keich, 270 Van Gelder St., as charged by Patrolman Thomas Rodgers.Michael Allen Keiffer, 35, formerly of First Street, Lehighton, had a bench warrant which was issued on March 10, 2010, dissolved by Judge James P. Goodman and bail was set at $5,000 straight cash with stipulation he must reside at 220 White St., Weisport, and must not change his address without prior notification to Clerk of Courts or district attorney's offices.Keiffer faces charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana charged by Coaldale Patrolman William Longworth, who made the arrest on June 26, 2008 on E. Water St.Bradley Charles Victor, 19, formerly of Shenandoah, had his bench warrant dissolved by Goodman and bail set at $5,000 unsecured, meaning he does not have to post any cash, however, if he jumps bail he is liable for the full amount. The court also specified he must reside at 484 W. Frack St., Frackville, and cannot change addresses without notice to the district attorney and clerk of courts offices.Victor faces a charge of theft of cash from the Turkey Hill Mini Mart in Shenandoah, where he was employed as charged by Patrolman Kirk Kirkland.Matthew Sleva, 25, Saint Clair, had his bail reduced to $35,000 unsecured by Senior Judge Stine with special conditions, he must reside at 216 Walnut St., Pottsville, and cannot relocate without court approval; he shall not consume, possess or transport any alcohol or drugs unless prescribed by a medical professional, must attend all scheduled court proceedings, and must seek gainful employment.Sleva faces charges delivery of a controlled substance to a confidential informant, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited by Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.SentencedJuan Jose Perez, 23, Shenandoah, who was found guilty by a jury last Aug. 8 of flight to avoid apprehension by police, was sentenced by Judge John E. Domalakes to serve 17 months to seven years in a state correctional institution with credit for serving 226 days in the county prison. On a charge of resisting arrest he was given a concurrent sentence of nine to 24 months.Perez was cited by Shenandoah Capt. George Carado, in June 2012 in Shenandoah.
