Ten enter guilty pleas; sentenced

A Kutztown man pleaded guilty to criminal mischief to a New Ringgold property and a Freeland man to theft of a gun from a home in Walker Township. They were among 10 who entered guilty pleas in Schuylkill County court and were sentenced by Judge James P. Goodman.

Ethan Christopher Madeira, 22, criminal mischief to property of John Savitz, 12 Spinal Court, New Ringgold, was given credit for serving 17 days in the county prison and was released on parole for 12 months, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), and make restituion of $500 to the victim. Madeira was cited by West Penn Township Patrolman Jason Leroy Lorah.Derek Raymond Schlorf, 23, Freeland, theft of pistol belonging to David Clifford Price, 1365 Valley Road, Walker Township, removed from a gun cabinet at his home, sentenced to serve nine to 23 months in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $500 to the victim. Schlorf was cited by Trooper John D. Powers.Jacqueline Suzanne Kelly, 31, of 7 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) for six months, fined $1,000, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to CJEA fund, attend alcohol highway safe driving school, received outpatient counseling, perform 100 hours of community service, submit to random drug tests, and driver's license suspended 12 months. Kelly was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Joseph Krebs.Eric M. Lehman, 29, Schuylkill Haven, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. He was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner.Janice E. Metz, 34, Schuylkill Haven, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $743 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Metz was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman William I. Horn.Daniel Kell Miller, 34, Schuylkill Haven, DUI of alcohol, sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison with the sentence to begin Monday, April1, at 9:30 a.m., fined $1,000, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, attend alcohol highway safety school, receive outpatient treatmant, perform 10 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 12 months. Miller was cited by Trooper Michael V. Ryan at intersection of SR61 and Seven Star Road in North Manheim Township.William Duane Smith, 47, Kulpmont, DUI of alcohol, serve 30 days to six months in the county prison with the sentence to begin, Tuesday, April 2, fined $750, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center (SMC)-South, attend safety school, receive outpatient counseling, driver's license suspended 12 months and when restored install ignition interlock on steering wheel of his car which monitors if driver consumed any alcohol. Smith was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey.Dane Alexander Windham, 20, Schuylkill Haven, possession of drug parapahernalia, was given credit for serving seven days in the county prison and released on parole for 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, and $50 to CJEA fund. Windham was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman David T. George.Joshua Wayne Yeagley, 21, Pine Grove, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest, sentenced to serve 30 days in the county prison with credit for serving nine days, and pay $50 to CJEA fund. On a charge of disorderly conduct he was fined $150. Yeagley was cited by Pine Grove Patrolman Christopher Taylor.Robert Delmare Klouser Jr., 40, Tremont, DUI of alcohol and drugs, placed in IPP for six months, fined $1,000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $460 to SMC-South, perform 20 hours community service, attend safety school, receive outpatient treatment, and driver's license suspended 12 months. On a summary charge of failing to give immediate notice of accident to police was fined $25 plus $50 coss. Klouser was cited by Trooper Timothy Rymarkiewicz on N. Pine St., Tremont.Each defendant must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
