Guinness Book of World Record holder Jon Pritikin recently talked to students at the Tamaqua elementary and middle schools, Rush Elementary School and West Penn Elementary School about bullying, peer pressure and the benefits of good character.
Pritikin's "Feel the Power," program was hosted by the Tamaqua School District and the Tamaqua and West Penn Elementary PTO, who partnered with the National Character Education Foundation.
Pritikin shared how he overcame a speech problem, childhood hardships and the effects of being bullied.
Along with his messages about peer pressure and bullying, Pritikin showed some feats of strength, including bending metal pipes and rolled up frying pans like a burrito.
He currently holds the title in the "2009 Guinness Book of World Records." The official record is for "The tightest circumference of two aluminum frying pans rolled together with his bare hands in less than 30 seconds."
