Sarah Ann Swankoski, Coaldale, and Stephen Michael Nesgoda, Summit Hill, were united in marriage on Nov. 5, 2011 at St. Katharine Drexel Roman Catholic Church, Lansford.

The Rev. Kenneth Medve officiated the double ring ceremony. Jeana DePuy was the organist. Deacon Leonard Kassik, Hazleton, was the vocalist.The daughter of Raymond and Patricia Swankoski, Coaldale, the bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose her sister, Beth Swankoski of Coaldale, to be her maid of honor.Bridesmaids included Nicole Leonzi and Michele Midas, both of Summit Hill; and Terri Paisley and Heather Rebarchak, both of Sugarloaf. Flower girls were Megan Paisley of Sugarloaf, and Jenna and Erika Dubosky of Summit Hill.The bridegroom is the son of Michelle Nesgoda, Summit Hill and Michael Nesgoda, Treichlers, Pa. He chose Michael Furey, Summit Hill, to serve as best man.Ushers included Ryan Nesgoda, Tamaqua; Shaun Midas and Michael Nesgoda, both of Summit Hill; and Eric Swankoski, Coaldale. Tyler Rebarchak of Sugarloaf was the ring bearer.Following a reception at Genetti's, Hazleton, the couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.Prenuptial parties included a bridal shower, hosted by the mother of the bride and bridesmaids at Capriotti's. The rehearsal dinner was held at Miller's Bar Vel, Summit Hill.The new Mrs. Nesgoda is a 2010 graduate of Misericordia University, where she earned a bachelor of science in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital.She is the granddaughter of Joseph and Peggy Rebarchak, Hazleton and Irene and the late Raymond Swankoski, also of Hazleton.Mr. Nesgoda has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Wilkes University. He is employed by NHS Human Services, Bethlehem, as a family based case manager.He is the grandson of the late Michael and Teresa Dubosky, Summit Hill; and the late William and Roberta Nesgoda, Tamaqua.The newlyweds reside in Walnutport.
