Panther Valley senior Carly Markovich has decided to continue her academic and volleyball career this fall at Misericordia University.

Markovich, who plans to major in Sports Management in college, was the Panthers' setter and also served as the team's captain. She helped guide the Panthers to a Schuylkill League Division II Championship this year, in which she was selected to the league's All-Star team. Markovich was also chosen the Schuylkill League Division II Player of the Year and a District 11 Class AA Second Team All-Star."Carly is a player that makes her team look good. She is an outstanding athlete and posses great leadership skills," Panthers' coach Nancy Filer said. "Misercordia is getting one of the finest multi-talented athletes from Panther Valley."
