Crowded Kitchen Players will hold auditions for Neil Simon's rollicking farce, "Rumors" from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 13 at McCoole's Arts & Events Place, 10 S. Main St. Quakertown.

The play is about two couples who go to the townhouse of a deputy New York City mayor and his wife to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary; when they arrive they discover that the hostess is missing, there are no servants and the host has shot himself in the head (he's suffered a flesh wound).

His lawyer's cover up gets progressively more strained as the other guests arrive, and nobody remembers who said what about whom.

Needed for the production are five men and five women, 25 and older. All roles are open and actors will be asked to read from the script.

"Rumors" will run Oct. 1-17 at McCoole's. Also needed are a stage manager, light/sound person and set building help.
