State police at the Fern Ridge barracks were summoned to Monroe County on Dec. 29 at 8:45 p.m. after a 15-year-old boy was reported to be missing or having ran away from home.

Police said the boy, who was not identified, left the residence at 41 Overlook Terrace, Effort, Chestnuthill Township, without the knowledge of his guardian.

Police described him as being a white male, about six feet tall and weighing around 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a design across the front, blue jeans and black and white Converse sneakers.

State police at the Lehighton barracks report that charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending against John William Havassy, 59, of Bath, as a result of an incident at 9;30 p.m. dec. 25.

Police said he was driving in the area of Kunkletown Road and Birch Lane in Eldred Township, Monroe County, when he failed to yield to emergency lights and a siren for about two miles.

He was stopped and found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Ronald L. Stump Jr., 28, of Gordon, will be cited by state police at the Frackville barracks for driving on roadways laned for traffic as a result of a one-car crash Dec. 28 at 8:25 a.m. on Route 4007 (Gordon Mountain Road) in Cass Township.

Police said he was driving a 2000 Ford Contour south when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to travel to the right and go off the roadway where its passenger's side front end impacted an embankment.

The driver was not injured.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident whereby a rear window of a vehicle parked in Upper Milford Township was smashed by vandals.

The victim is Michael J. McGrath, 58, of Zionsville.

He told police someone smashed the window at 6419 Ridge Road between 11 p.m. Dec. 24 and 1:30 a.m. Dec. 25 and fled in an unknown direction.

A driver and his passenger escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Dec. 27 at 1:05 p.m. along State Route 901 in Cass Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Brett Morton, 23, of Sunbury, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier south on Rt. 901 when he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left curve in the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole with its rear end and came to rest on the eastern berm of the road, facing northeast.

The passenger was Cortni-Starr Pezola, 25.

Herbert Seth Lenhart, 51, of Wescosville, is facing numerous charges as a result of an accident and disturbance at 1:48 a.m. Dec. 24 in the 100 block of Grenge Road in Lower Macungie Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, public drunkenness and related traffic offenses.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said a 17-year-old boy from Zionsville who required hospital treatment because of consumption of alcohol will be arrested for underage drinking.

Police said they were called at 12:40 a.m. Dec. 26 to Lower Milford Township where the boy was out of control and intoxicated. Police said they eventually had to take the boy to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a burglary that was reported at 2:23 a.m. Dec. 29 in Brodheadsville.

Police said someone forcibly entered the American Sport Shooting Store, Rt. 209, and removed several hand guns.

The theft of a 12-gauge camoflague pump-action shotgun from an unlocked vehicle in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County, is being investigated by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

The victim is Charles Ferguson Jr. of Schuylkill Haven.

He told police someone took the gun from his vehicle while it was parked at 11 Earl Ave. in the township between 6 p.m. Dec. 19 and 6 p.m. Dec. 26.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 3 p.m. Dec. 27 and 1 p.m. Dec. 28 at the Schuyulkill C hristian Church, Rt. 183, Wayne Township.

Police said someone used a piece of PVC piping to shatter a window along the rear portion of the church, opening the window to gain entry to the building.

Police said nothing was stolen by the intruder(s).
