Retail theft charges against a Lehighton woman have been forwarded to Schuylkill County Court.

Deanna K. Semanoff, of S. Fifth St., faces charges stemming from a June 21 incident, according to state police at Schuylkill Haven.

Katelyn Mary Atkinson, 22, of 219 E. Ridge St., Lansford, has been charged by Coaldale police with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Officer Joseph Krebs, here's what happened:

At about 4:15 p.m. Aug. 12, Krebs received a phone call at the police station to go to Pappy's Mini Mart for an unknown problem. The caller, an employee, said a man had walked in, hysterical, and asked her to call police.

A Schuylkill County firm has been cited for false alarm activations.

State police at Frackville said Jacobson Warehouse, located at 10 Schultz Drive, in Delano Township, was cited for control of alarm devices and automatic dialing devices for an alarm activation.

Troopers said six times in a 12-month period the alarm at the property was activated with state police responding. The latest was 8:57 p.m. on Aug. 11, troopers said.

A Schuylkill County driver was injured when his pickup truck and a tractor trailer rig collided on a county road. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred about 2:55 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, along SR443 at the entrance to the Gooseberry Farms, Pilot Truck Stop, in Pine Grove Township.

Troopers said George Williams, 56, of New Castle, Del., was operating a 2010 Freightliner Cascada with trailer and pulling out of the truck stop and attempted to go east on 443.

State police at Frackville reported on three arrests, two the result of a domestic incident, over the past weekend.

Troopers said about 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12, Devlon R. Haldeman, 27, and Brianna Joe Seider, 18, of 734 Sunbury Rd., Minersville, Cass Township, were involved in a domestic dispute over child custody. At some point during the dispute physical contact was made between the two.

Both will be charged with harassment, troopers said.

State police at Frackville are investigating two reported incidents of access device fraud and theft involving two Schuylkill County residents.

Troopers said Frances T. Rennick, 75, of Saint Clair, reported someone used her Bon Ton credit card to make purchases totaling $1,228.32 without her permission. The purchases were made during the period of Aug. 3 and 6.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a burglary at a Schuylkill County residence.

The home of Kimberly Sonnon, 31, and Glen Hoffman, 34, of 756 Vista Rd., in Klingerstown, Eldred Township, was entered sometime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Aug. 9. Entry was gained by kicking in a side door.

Removed from the home was a camera, various silver coins ($100 value), various types of jewelry, and numerous tool items.

A New York state driver was cited following a crash along Interstate 81 in Frailey Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Oliver Rutaramirwa, 36, of Syracuse, was driving a 2001 Dodge Caravan southbound about 12:49 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12, when he fell asleep at the wheel. The van left the road and entered the grass median. The undercarriage made impact with a ditch while the van continued through the median. The van then entered the northbound lane where it came to rest.

State police at Frackville are investigating a crash and a reported theft of vehicle, which are both related.

Troopers said on Saturday, Aug. 11, about 9:20 a.m. they responded to a reported crash along a dirt road, a fifth of a mile north of Cherry St., in Mahanoy Township, just outside Frackville.

On scene troopers found a 2003 Acura crashed into a tree with a male located inside sleeping. Contact was made with the vehicles' owner, Gene Pasker, of Frackville, who said the car had been stolen from outside his home.

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a four-vehicle, rear-end type crash along a Schuylkill County road.

It was one of three crashes, including a hit and run, investigated by troopers.
