Tickets go on sale this weekend for four upcoming concerts at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Tomorrow at 10 a.m., tickets will be available for shows by country great Martina McBride, who visits the venue on Nov. 13, and for Dennis DeYoung, a founder of Styx, who will be here on Feb. 13.

On Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m., music lovers can buy tickets for a Nov. 2 concert by Engelbert Humperdinck and a Feb. 27 event by Creedence Clearwater Revisited.

Yonder Mountain String Band will be performing at 8 p.m. today at the Penn's Peak. Opening will be Jerry Douglas.

It's not traditional bluegrass music. In fact, it defies placement in typical music genres.

One thing's for certain. Audiences have taken a liking to what some have labeled "progressive bluegrass" played by the Yonder Mountain String Band.

The Yonder Mountain String Band, a Colorado-based trio, has appeared several times in the past at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe. They always have a large following.

They return for a performance at 8 p.m. this evening. Tickets at the door are $22.

Another major performer has been added to the concert lineup at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Engelbert Humperdinck, whose hits included "Release Me" and "Am I That Easy to Forget," will make his venue debut on Sunday, Nov. 2.

Tickets, which are $37 and $42, go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Saturday. They are available now to Sneak Peak Club members.

Also announced was a performance by Creedence Clearwater Revisited on Friday, Feb. 27.

Tickets are $42 for reserved and $47 for the PIT. They also go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.

Two big concert announcements have been made for Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.

Martina McBride, a country music icon who sold out the venue two years ago, is returning for a concert with "The Everlasting Tour" show on Thursday, Nov. 13.

Tickets, which cost $45 and $55, go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday. Already they are on sale to Sneak Peak Club members.

"An Evening With Dennis DeYoung" will occur on and the music of Styx occurs on Friday, Feb. 13. Tickets, $35 and $39, go on sale Friday to the public, but are available to Sneak Peak members.

The fifth number of The Zombies 21-song set at Penn's Peak Sunday night sums up their concert.

"You Make Me Feel Good" was a single released by the British group in 1964. Judging by the reaction of the audience, the show was enjoyable.

The Zombies were greeted at the onset with a standing ovation. They got robust applause throughout the 90-minute performance. People sang along to the words of virtually all the songs, but especially the group's big hits like "Time of the Season" and "Tell Her No."

On Friday at Penn's Peak, two of the top hard rock bands from around the turn of the century will perform in concert.

Great White, which had the hit "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" and Vixen, an all-girl band, will be on stage for a double-header show starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22 in advance and $27 on the day of the concert.

Megastar Kenny Rogers is coming to Penn's Peak.

The sensational performer will be bringing his highly acclaimed annual Christmas show to the venue at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20.

With him will be country singer Linda Davis. Tickets are $55 and $65.

It's one of three new shows announced for Penn's Peak.

Uriah Heep has set a date for Friday, Sept. 26. Tickets are $22 in advance and $27 on the night of the concert.

Dark Star Orchestra presents its annual Thanksgiving Eve show on Wednesday, Nov. 26. Tickets are $24 in advance and $29 on the day of the show.

Ziggy Marley, a six-time Grammy winner, and Emmy winner, humanitarian, and singer-songwriter, makes a visit to Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe Thursday.

The Fly Rasta Tour concert begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $24 in advance and $29 at the door.

Ziggy Marley has released 12 albums to much critical acclaim. His early immersion in music came at age 10 when he sat in on recording sessions with his father, Bob Marley.

B.B. King, whose name is as synonymous with blues as Hank Williams is to country, will make a special appearance at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe this evening.

The concert starts at 8 p.m., and tickets will be available at the door. Ticket prices are $45 and $55.

A music double-header comes to Penn's Peak this evening, when John Hiatt and The Combo appear with The Robert Cray Band.

Concert time is 8 o'clock and tickets are $45 reserved and $55 premium.

The concert by Hiatt, one of rock's most astute singer-songwriters, comes one day after the release of his new album, "Terms Of My Surrender."
