Lehighton Area High School honored its brightest academic minds last week at the 31st annual Top 10 Percent banquet.

At the ceremony, held at the high school, the district recognized top students in the classes of 2017, 2018 and 2019.Students from the Class of 2017 who earned Top 10 Percent honors are Julia Banning, Tia Brownmiller, Mary Grace Collins, Tyler Dietz, Andrew Ebbert, Matthew Eckhart, Chelsea Hutnick, Elise Johnston, Brianna Keiser, McKenna Knappenberger, Ryan Moerder, Grant Wetzel, Morgan Yurasits and Pengcheng Zhang.Class of 2018 honorees are Michael Bongiorno, Lindsey Bowman, Caine Carpenter, Piper DeMatte, Lily Fasching, Julia Frey, Emily Haberman, Thera Hibbler, Alexander Karpowicz, Ashley Meyer, Alivia Paules, Maura Phelan, Brandon Schnell, Rachel Serfass, Anthony Tavella and Mary Wilhelm.Class of 2019 honorees are Isabella Baka, Samantha Banning, Mason Barndt, Evan Beers, Madison DeLuca, Brooke Focht, Olivia Frendt, Dakota Heister, Addison Howland, Emily Kleintop, Brenna Long, Victor McCandless, Emily Miller, Logan Pagotto, Makenzie Sabotino, Syndney Vincent and Jordyn Zwetolitz.
