MCT announces new advisory board, members

Mauch Chunk Trust Co. has appointed six new members to its Community Advisory Boards in Tamaqua and Lehighton, and created a new Community Advisory Board in Jim Thorpe with five members.

The advisory boards consist of representatives from the greater Jim Thorpe, Tamaqua and Lehighton areas. Members of the board provide insight and advice to MCT's management to help ensure the programs and products offered at branch offices meet the needs of the community. Members of the advisory boards are appointed by the MCT Board of Directors.The new members of the Jim Thorpe Community Advisory Board are:• Mary Enck - broker and owner of Mary Enck Realty Inc. in Albrightsville. She received a certificate of appreciation in 2017 from Shriners Hospitals for Children, volunteers for Operation Shoebox, Paul's House of Valor Clinic, and supports local fire companies and Penn Forest Township Park. Enck, a mother and grandmother, lives in the area with her husband, John.• Shawn Kresge - owner of Kresge Services in Jim Thorpe. Recognized by the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation as Business of the Year in 2016. He supports numerous organizations, such as Turn To Us, Peaceful Knights, Family Promise of Carbon County and many more.• Sky Fogal - corporate finance officer of Skirmish Paintball in Jim Thorpe. Fogal is active in both the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation and the Pocono Mountain Visitor's Bureau, and was a finalist in the 2016 Lehigh Valley Business CFO of the Year award. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and is active in its alumni association.• Kevin McArdle - owner of Mauch Chunk Chimney Sweeps in Jim Thorpe. He is captain of the Diligent Fire Co. No. 3 and has been with the Jim Thorpe Fire Co. since 1983. He is also active in his church's finance committee and the Mauch Chunk Fireman's Relief Association. McArdle obtained his Chimney Sweep certification from the Chimney Safety Institute of America and is the region director of the Pennsylvania Guild of Professional Chimney Sweeps. He lives in the area with his wife and three children.• Sheila O'Neil - owner of the Gilded Cupid Bed & Breakfast in Jim Thorpe. She served on the board of directors of the Mauch Chunk Historical Society, with multiple terms as president, and is a member of the Jim Thorpe Tourism Agency, the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation and the Pocono Mountain Visitor's Bureau. She lives in Jim Thorpe with her husband, Bob, and son, Christian.The new members of the Tamaqua Community Advisory Board are:• Ettore DeCasimirro - owner of Skytop Fuels Inc. in Mahanoy City. He serves on the boards of the Area Revitalization and Development Corporation, the Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation and Sure Shot Rod and Gun Club. He is also involved in the alumni associations of both the Mahonoy Area and Perkiomen Schools. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration from Pennsylvania State University and resides in the area with his wife, Rochelle, and their three children.• Joseph Mehalko - retired from a career in banking and resides in the area with his wife, Sandra. He serves as treasurer of both the Pottsville Lions Club and the Pottsville Lions Charities, and president of the St. John XXIII Holy Name Society. Mehalko also serves as a choir member, lector and cantor at both the St. John XXIII Parish and Zion Lutheran Church.• Lucy Murphy - is a certified public accountant and owns her own firm in Tamaqua. She is treasurer of Meals on Wheels and supports the Morgan Foundation. Murphy graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Drexel University. She has two children and resides in the area with her husband, William.The six veteran members are James Agosti, Jeffrey Bowe, Matthew Hope, Charles Snyder, Tammy Sword and Jon Zizelmann.The new members of the Lehighton Community Advisory Board are:• Jay Frey - supervisor at Service Construction Co. in Lehighton, and owner of Chantilly Goods, Weissport Washboard Laundromat and several other small businesses. He serves as a board member for Service Construction Co., PDC Spa and Pool World, and Body and Soul Complex, and is a vice president of the Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church Council. He and his wife, Angela, reside in the area.• Christopher Wentz - manager/owner at Wentz Auto Body in Lehighton. He is active in baseball and softball youth sports programs in Franklin Township and the Storm Cheerleading program, and is a member of the rock band BLUNT. Wentz and his wife, Deanna, reside in the area with their two children.• Walter Zlomsowitch - owner of K&K Oil Co. in Lehighton. He is the proud father of daughter, Kayla, and resides in the area with his fiancée, Jeanette Pupko.The veteran members: Gary Fedor, Dr. William Howland, Richard Getz, William Schwab, Jeff Hill and Dr. Daniel Steigerwalt.
