State police at Lehighton are investigating a hit and run crash involving a tractor trailer which struck a home in Towamensing township.

The incident occurred about 7:30 a.m. today at the intersection of Stagecoach road west and Hazelwood road.Apparently the rig struck the roof over the front porch of the dwelling. The operator of the unit continued on with the resident of the home in pursuit.The resident managed to pull the right over on Forest Inn road several miles from the scene.Dispatched to the scene were Towamensing, Lower Towamensing and Polk townships fire companues.
