Two vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene of a crash at 3:28 p.m. Jan. 27 at the intersection of Route 903 and Stony Mountain Road in Penn Forest Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said the crash took place when a 2001 Toyota Solara driven by Keith A. Searfoss, 57, of Albrightsville, struck the passenger's side of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler operated by Brian R. Wenhold, 18, also of Albrightsville. Police said both vehicles were northbound on Route 903, and the Wrangler was traveling in front of the Solara and had just turned right on Stony Mountain Road.Police said after the initial impact, the Solara had a secondary collision with a guide rail on the left shoulder of Stony Mountain Road.Police cited Searfoss for following too closely.
