State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating an attempted burglary that took place at the Dollar General store, 1494 Route 209 in Brodheadsville.

Police said someone attempted to enter the building between midnight April 17 and 6 a.m. April 19. The suspects were able to gain partial entry to the store by breaking through and damaging a rear door, but they were unable to gain entry through a second security door.
