Kidder Township supervisors

At last week’s Kidder Township Supervisors meeting:

• The township will take delivery of a new police SUV in the next two weeks. The Ford was purchased from Kovatch Ford.

• The township will also be receiving a new dump truck this month as well. The Chevrolet Silverado 3500 was leased from Fairway Chevrolet. The supervisors approved a lease through Community Leasing for $21,611.05 per year beginning one year after delivery.

• The supervisors also approved a resolution for the submittal of a grant application for a Greenway Trail Grant. A not-to-exceed $10,000 agreement was also approved with Ralph W. Clay for survey work to be performed in connection with the grant application.

• Tony Novack of Brodheadsville approached the supervisors to describe his plan to bring a mini-ATV dirt track to Split Rock Resort. The track would be located behind the Town Center at the top of the Slope-Side units.

The plan is for up to 15 90cc ATVs to race on the track at the same time.

Chairman Thomas Bradley suggested that Novack meet with both planning and zoning to determine what he would need to do to bring the project into the township.
