Timothy J. Vidal, 31, of Cumbola, was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, on charges of simple assault and related offenses after a domestic incident at 5:55

p.m.Saturday at a home on Coal Street in Blythe Township.State police at the Frackville barracks said he was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko of Port Carbon and incarcerated in lieu of $25,000 bail.The victim isa 30-year-old woman. The incident occurred when the two were engaged in an argument, during which time the man assaulted her and threatened to kill her.Police said the woman fled the residence with her two small children and went to a neighbor's house to telephone police.
