The driver of a tractor trailer crashed into a wall at Broadway and Race Street in Jim Thorpe Monday morning while attempting a U turn.
The driver, Stephen Brown of Ontario, Canada, left the scene and was later pulled over in Franklin Township by Lehighton Police. Brown claimed that his GPS unit incorrectly directed him up Broadway.He will be charged with failing to contact police at the scene of the accident.
Damage to a wall outside of Through the Looking Glass restaurant in Jim Thorpe can be seen Monday morning. The wall was hit by a tractor trailer that was attempting to turn around after going up Broadway by mistake.
