Virginia "Ginny" Dunbar of Jim Thorpe recently celebrated her 90th birthday with the Jim Thorpe Lioness Club.

Dunbar was born and raised in Cecilton, Maryland.She graduated from Delaware Hospital School of Nursing in 1947 and moved to Jim Thorpe in 1948 when she married.She worked as a registered nurse at Palmerton Hospital until her retirement.She is a charter member of the Jim Thorpe Lioness Club and has been active in community service, the Dimmick Memorial Library and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jim Thorpe.She was also honored as a Mauch Chunk Trust Company Community Hero in 2002 and was the 2008 Lioness of the Year.
