Malgorzata I. Wiercinski, 50, of Saylorsburg, escaped injury when a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer she was driving struck a deer at 8 p.m. Nov. 10.

The incident happened on Route 115, north of Merwinsburg Road, in Chestnuthill Township.State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said she was southbound on the two-lane highway when her vehicle struck the deer that had entered its path.
